Last month, my Aunt Ramonda married Patrick in Indiana. I was very honored that they chose me to take photos at this special event. They have been so supportive through the whole process, which is encouraging.

Kansas
While in Kansas I was taken back by the vividness of the greenery. The rolling Flint Hills were so lush. It brought new meaning to why people sketch hills in the overlapping arches. However, the digital images did not do justice to this beauty that could be seen with the eye.
These two plants were seen at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve near Strong City.

This is the Woolly Verbena a native Kansas wildflower.

Spring Refreshes

Last summer, I was given this plant. Through most of the year, I have attempted to keep it alive. When I returned home today, I was greeted with this little bloom. :)

This is my first submission in this series taken with my point and shoot. I am usually very disappointed in it's quality of capture. It surprised me! The Eli Young Band performed at the Houston Rodeo on Friday night.

This has to be one of the cutest expressions I've seen in recent memory. Of course, he tugs at my heart on most days, so I guess it is to be expected. He was such a willing participant in this little photo shoot despite the sun in his eyes.
