Farmer's Market

I had been looking forward to going to the Farmer's Market in Tyler this past weekend. It is a place that I frequented as a child with my grandfather and great-grandmother.
As I get older, these places become more special to my heart. Grandaddy went with me on Saturday, as well. It was like stepping back in time. Each of the farmers were so welcoming and encouraging of the photography! They were also eager to chat and swap stories near the tailgates of their trucks. It was a neat place to capture shots of a scene that seems to be nearly in the past.

summer days

Meet Lauren! She is a great nine-year-old! We had a lot of fun on this afternoon. It also gave her mom and I a peak into what the near future holds at her house with the talk of boys, followed by giggles and bashful faces!

Katherine is her sister. I was there the morning Katherine was born. It is shocking to me that she had her 5th birthday last week! What happened with the time? The baby is definitely growing up. She was a little shy about having her picture taken at first. Then, ...once she got in the grove, we could have continued all afternoon!

Waterfall in Dallas?

I was a bit surprised to find such a beautiful and peaceful location in the concrete jungle of the metroplex. I'm not sure that I really believed it until I saw it with my own eyes, however Prairie Creek Park does exist! It consists of a lovely greenbelt along a stream with a couple of nice bridges and a waterfall amid an established neighborhood. It provided a great location for another photo shoot with Julie.

Tuscany

Alright, this photo shoot was not in Tuscany, as my sister preferred to think...it was in Las Colinas on the Mandalay Canal. Julie was a fabulous model! This area has so many picturesque opportunities. We enjoyed our time there, as you can tell by the laughter. These were our favorite shots!

Brooke and Steven's Wedding

Brooke and Steven were recently married in a lovely celebration of their love story! They have known each other literally all of their life and were reunited after a 25 year separation. Each of them are so deserving of the joys this year has held and all that will come in the future! I love them! These are a few of the special moments during the festivities...
